Public records, without the runaround.

Describe the records you need in plain language. FOIA FAST finds the office that holds them, drafts a request that cites the statute by section, and tracks every deadline. You review and send every letter yourself.

Records Custodian
Office of the City Clerk

Re: Public records request

Under section 119.07(1)(a), Florida Statutes, I request copies of all contracts, amendments and invoices between the City and its towing vendor from January 1, 2024 to the present.

If any record is withheld, please cite the specific statutory exemption for each, as section 119.07(1)(e) requires.

Sincerely,
Your name

The right law
Letters cite Chapter 119 or the federal FOIA by section, never the wrong statute.
Every clock counted
20 business days for federal agencies; elapsed time for Florida's "reasonable time".
Replies filed for you
Each request has its own reply address, so responses land in the right matter.
Nothing sent without you
Every letter, follow-up and appeal waits for your approval.

Three steps, from question to response

What a records consultant does is procedure: which office to write to, which section to cite, and when the clock runs out. FOIA FAST handles the procedure. You make every call.

  1. Map the custodians

Records rarely sit where you'd expect. FOIA FAST finds the office that actually holds them, including the ones you wouldn't have thought to ask.

  2. Draft in statute

Write what you want in plain English. FOIA FAST turns it into a letter that cites the statute by section. You read it, edit it and send it.

  3. Track every clock

FOIA FAST counts each agency's deadline. When an agency goes quiet, the follow-up is already drafted and waiting for you.

Every request runs on a clock

Deadlines are where requests quietly die. FOIA FAST keeps the count so an agency's silence never goes unnoticed.

After the agency answers

Sending the request is the easy part. FOIA FAST keeps working on what comes back.

  • Replies file themselves

Each request has its own reply address. Agency responses and their attachments land in the right matter, already read and labeled: acknowledgment, fee quote, denial or production.

  • Denials, read closely

Upload a denial to see each exemption the agency claimed, how well it holds up, and which records were mentioned but never produced, with a demand drafted for each.

  • Appeals, drafted not filed

Choose to resubmit, appeal or stop. FOIA FAST drafts the right escalation letter and runs the clocks that apply, including the 90-day federal appeal window.

  • Fee quotes, checked

Compare an agency's fee quote with what the statute allows it to charge, before you pay.

  • Written for the right law

Florida has no "FOIA"; it has Chapter 119. Letters to Florida agencies say "public records request" and cite the right sections.

  • Ready for a lawyer when you need one

When a matter needs counsel, export an attorney-ready summary of every request, response and deadline.

Three kinds of people file these requests

Law firms

Organize requests by matter, with tags, a full timeline and an audit trail you can export as a discovery-ready PDF. Guardrails against the unauthorized practice of law sit on every AI draft.

Journalists

Send one request to every agency that might hold the records, and follow each clock from one dashboard. Every reply lands in an archive you can search.

Citizens and nonprofits

Plain-language help with a first request. Most of the difficulty is knowing what to ask for and who to send it to, and FOIA FAST does that part for you.

You stay in control, and your files stay private

FOIA FAST drafts and tracks. Every decision, and every letter that leaves, is yours. Records and correspondence are handled with the care you'd give legal mail.

  • You send every letterDrafts wait for your review. Nothing is filed automatically, and every request goes out under your name.
  • Encrypted at restDocuments, letters and agency responses are encrypted in storage.
  • No training on your filesAI runs on our servers through enterprise model agreements that prohibit training on your inputs or outputs. Every AI draft is labeled as one.
  • An audit log nobody can editEvery action is recorded in an append-only log, exportable as a tamper-evident PDF for discovery.
  • Your records stay yoursExport any matter at any time. Close your account and your matters are deleted within 30 days.

Questions people ask first

Something else? Write to sales@foiafast.com.

Is FOIA FAST a law firm?

No. FOIA FAST is software. It does not practice law or give legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Deadlines and statutory analysis are informational, so verify them, and if the outcome matters, retain a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. Our UPL policy explains what the platform will and won't do.

Does FOIA FAST send requests for me?

Only when you tell it to. Every letter, follow-up and appeal waits for your review, and nothing leaves without your explicit approval. Requests go out under your name, never ours. For agencies that only take requests through a portal or by mail, FOIA FAST prepares the filing and you submit it.

Which records laws does it cover?

Florida's Public Records Act (Chapter 119) and the federal Freedom of Information Act today. More states are on the way.

What happens when an agency denies my request?

Upload the denial. FOIA FAST lists the exemptions the agency claimed, rates how well each one holds up, flags records that should have been produced, and helps you decide whether to resubmit, appeal or stop. Any letter that follows is a draft for you to approve.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Model calls run on our servers through enterprise endpoints whose terms prohibit training on customer inputs and outputs. Your browser never talks to a model provider directly. Details are in the privacy policy.

What do I pay beyond the monthly plan?

Premium AI actions are charged individually, and each one shows its price before you can run it. Fees an agency charges for copying or special services are paid to the agency, not to us.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time from Settings. You keep the right to export your matters for 30 days after you close your account.
